We have one big rule when it comes to legal fees at Flegal Law Office: no surprises. That may sound like a simple rule, but lawyers violate it all the time. We will always, without exception, provide you with an estimate of the price range within which we believe a given task or project will fall. If we forget to do so, please remind us.

Sometimes, as we all know, things change. As our construction clients say, sometimes "we hit ledge". When lawyers hit ledge, that means new information has come to light that indicates to us that the task or project is going to cost more than we had originally anticipated. In our view, when we hit ledge, the burden is on us to get in touch with you, explain that we hit ledge, and obtain instructions from you before we proceed further. In this fashion, we avoid that unpleasant surprise that so many clients receive from their lawyers at the end of the month when they open a bill that is twice what they expected. We want you to get the bill you expected, and we want you to be glad to pay it.
